Foundation Updates

Make it a Million Scholarship Campaign

Our Academy Foundation was established in 1966 with a donation to provide a scholarship for a deserving student. Now, more than 50 years later, Academy members have helped us become the world’s largest provider of dietetic scholarships at all levels of study. While surveys show Academy members recognize and take pride in our scholarship program, the demand in terms of annual scholarship applications still out number the amount of scholarships we are able to award.

In 2022, to keep pace with this growing demand, the Academy Foundation launched its Make it a Million Scholarship Campaign and are asking all Academy leaders, members, students and affiliated organizations to come together and support this effort to raise $1 million in reserves  during  the next three years to build Foundation resources to allow us to award $1 million in scholarships annually.

Please consider making a gift from your annual budget and encourage your members to donate to this campaign online by contributing to either our Make it A Million Scholarship Campaign Fund directly or making a gift to our Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) Fund that will support scholarships for students and dietetic interns of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
